Edel-Hell is Occidental's Helles Lager. Helles is so-called because 'hell' is the German word for light. See the popularity of the Pilsner style to their east, Bavarian brewers sought to one-up their Bohemian counterparts with a delicate and refreshing light lager. 'Edel' means noble and refers to the kiss of classic noble hops (Tettanger) that finish this beers subtle balance of malt, yeast and hop flavors. Supremely quaffable, Edel-Hell is approachable for the timid, refined for the finicky, and a solid brew for any beer lover.
Our Hefeweizen is of the classic Bavarian variety. Made with 70% wheat, lightly hopped with German Hallertauer, it's refreshing and slightly dry with the beguiling banana and clove notes that give away the provenance of the true weizen yeast we use. This is a German-style wheat beer the way it should be--no lemon, please!
